Take the 2-minute survey

What we're building

If you live far from the food of home, you know the routine: the 2-hour drive to the nearest African market, the WhatsApp messages to someone who knows someone who cooks, the suitcase full of spices after every trip back. The food exists. The cooks exist. What's missing is the bridge — and that's what ChopYa is.

The pantry, shipped

Shelf-stable staples and snacks — chin chin, spice blends, dried egusi and ogbono, garri, baked goods — made by verified home producers and shipped anywhere in the US. The market you wish was down the street, delivered to your door.

Hot meals, close to home

Home-cooked meals for pickup or delivery from cooks in your city — real home kitchens, real recipes, the taste that restaurants never quite get right. Launching one metro at a time, starting where the community is.

A free-food lane

Surplus home-cooked food and groceries shared at $0 with neighbors, students, and community and faith organizations. Same care, same dignity, no fees — community value, not charity.

Real income for cooks

Cooks set their prices and keep a real margin. ChopYa handles payments, shipping labels, delivery, and the trust work — so the people who feed their communities can be paid properly for it.

Help us build this right

Two minutes, four questions. Your answers directly shape what we launch first and where.

How do you get the cultural foods you grew up with today?
How far is the nearest market that stocks what you actually need?
Have you ever bought food through WhatsApp or community networks?
A box of pantry staples from a verified home producer, shipped to your door — what feels fair, including shipping?

For investors

The US is home to more than 46 million foreign-born people — and the market for the food they grew up with runs today on long drives, suitcase imports, and informal WhatsApp commerce. No platform owns it.

ChopYa is building the infrastructure: a two-sided marketplace with verified home-cook supply, national pantry shipping, local hot-meal delivery, and a community free-food lane. If you invest in marketplaces, food, or community infrastructure, we'd love to talk.
